As the Managing agent of Industrial Maritime Carriers, Intermarine offers the most regular services between the U.S. Gulf and all coasts of South America and Caribbean. With up to 4 sailings per week from the U.S. Gulf and Mexico, the company provides five service strings: weekly service to Eastern Venezuela and Trinidad & Tobago, weekly service to Western Venezuela and Colombia, fortnightly service to the Caribbean, fortnightly service to Brazil and Argentina on the East of coast of South America, and fortnightly service to Ecuador, Peru, and Chile on the West Coast.
The loadcenter for all our North American services is our Industrial Terminals in Houston, Texas. Other load ports in the US Gulf and Mexico as well as the US East Coast are added as needed.
Most of the vessels operated by this line are multipurpose heavy-lift vessels capable of handling lifts up to 500 metric tons. The fleet features our state-of-the-art C, D, and E class vessels with dual cranes combinable for 400 and 500 ton lifts respectively. Together, they form the largest and most modern fleet in the Americas trade. We also supplement this fleet with specialized vessels to meet specific cargo requirements. Our frequency and flexibility makes us the leading carrier of breakbulk, containers, and project cargoes in the trade.
One of the greatest service advantages offered by this Americas service is the multiple sailings per week. Instead of one large vessel with a long voyage itinerary, Intermarine sails a minimum of four smaller, boxhold vessels per week with up to four separate destination ports as a first port of call. With four ships sailing weekly from Industrial Terminals, we provide more direct service and reduced the in time waiting in port. As a result, Intermarine offers not only the broadest service to the region, but also provides the fastest transit to virtually every destination.
